You are absolutely correct. WWII did that----that is a part of our family that I could write about for a very long time.
However, I won't-----as I would have carpal tunnel for weeks.

There was a big difference in the two attacks------9/11 targeted the WTC a major civilian target in New York City and the Pentagon again on the mainland of the USA ------ Pearl Harbor was bombed because of the Pacific Fleet being there.

Remember 9/11 took out about 800 civilian employees of Morgan Stanley alone---not to mention the others.

When a nation receives a hit as this was on its home territory ---Americans took notice---and yes we became somewhat paranoid---not unexpected. Our lives changed------the feel good from ate 1940's and the 1950's and the early 1960's disappeared.

Being a musician----I saw friends lose their jobs because Washington was no longer a place that tourists wanted to be. Well thanks to the Bush administration that has turned around,
people are back to coming here and living again and music is being played. This is progress.

It will take years for this nation to recover from the 9/11 crap. We have gone through wars and wars ------however the terrorist and the war they have created is unique and requires being dealt with in unique and clever ways.

Now back to life other than debating on the net.

eom----

You are uneducated. Do you have any understanding at all of the severe restrictions on civil liberties and security measures instituted by FDR during WWII? Japanese internment memory.loc.gov just for starters.

Pearl Harbor made the US more free, more progressive and more prosperous? Yeah, right.

Give us something substantive and factual.
