Gus - the only deer Kerry hunted are rich broads. Look at the one he got this time. Must be a record as it sure is a big one!

On Friday night in St. Louis, Senator Kerry tried to tell sportsmen that President Bush was "going backwards on the definition of wetlands." Wrong. In fact, President Bush has recommitted this country to the Conservation Reserve Program, extending the life of the 35 million acres of farmland protected by this program and opening the program to additional 800,000.

This is just another attempt for John Kerry to hide from his horrible record for sportsmen and farmers. John Kerry has sided with groups like The Fund for Animals that want to take away your right to hunt and fish. Kerry wants to pass a law that would ban certain commonly used shotguns that millions of sportsmen use.

America's Leading Conservation Organizations On The President's Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) and Wetlands Proposals:

* Pheasants Forever*: "This announcement is a grand slam for wildlife and conservationists. CRP is the nation's most successful conservation program and the President's announcement today will ensure that the wildlife legacy of CRP will continue into the future. This is a huge victory for wildlife, the environment, and hunter-conservationists." -- Howard Vincent, President, Pheasants Forever
* Ducks Unlimited*: "The Administration has taken an important step today to promote CRP enrollment in this crucial area and to ensure it remains a key part of the Conservation Title of the next Farm Bill. This announcement is big news for DU and our one million supporters." -- John Tomke, President, Ducks Unlimited
* National Wild Turkey Federation*: "Stronger conservation provisions in the Farm Bill are critical to restoring and maintaining wildlife habitatWe feel the ongoing dialogue we've had with the Bush Administration and Congress is important. It has allowed us to work together on behalf of all sportsmen to make good things happen for conservation." -- Rob Keck, President, National Wild Turkey Federation
