That is what Bush has said: 1. Mushroom clouds, aluminum tubes for centrifuges to enrich uranium, drones, megatons of WMDs all around Baghdad, (this is Blair) launch against the rest of the world in 45 minutes, etc. etc. 2. Gathering threat. That was the intermediate characterization when it became clearer that we would not find WMDs, programs for WMDs. That's when it became: nuclear WMDs hitting the US => WMDs because he has used them before => WMD programs => WMD program related activities. 3. Unique threat. That's his latest excuse. What the heck is a unique threat? Unique in its lack of ability to harm us except maybe perhaps were we to turn our back on this known thug? Unique in its lack of interest in threatening us because Saddam was worried about Iran and Israel attacking him as they had both done before? Bush's rhetoric keeps morphing. Next stop is what?
