I hoped for better from Okrent. At least he admits this.

I suppose you could say that the Times is not so much biased towards either candidate, as they just happen to have a world view that has a 95% fit with the DNC talking points of the moment, and a 5% fit with the RNC talking points of the moment, and they naturally just call'em as they see 'em based on this world view. Can they help it if the Democrats are right 95% of the time?

Okrent has contradicted himself.

His previous long piece ws essentially an admission that the NYT was a liberal newspaper, particularly on social issues.

How did it somehow turn into a fair and balanced one in the space of just a few weeks?

He said nothing about the NYT's reporting of RaTHergate, which for many days simply did not exist.

And, yes, the left has won the vileness derby this election. The attacks on GOP headquarters, the burglary in Washington State, the numerous reports we read here about folks not putting up lawn signs or using bumper stickers for fear of damage to their property, all speak to a level of Lefty Lunacy unlike any I have ever experienced.

Even at SI we see some startling things said in absolute seriousness, laughable things such as treason trials for W and Co., etc. are being discussed by seemingly intelligent and otherwise balanced folks who have gone off the political deep end.
