You need to read "Before Jerusalem Fell" It is a scholarly work on the dating of the writing of Revelation - many futurist will admit it was written before the fall. The destruction of the temple and the end of Israel was a major world event as well as proof the Christ was indeed a prophet - as he predicted it well in verses such as Math 24 The temple is mentioned in Revelation and John is told to measure it - something highly unlikely to have been said in lieu of the idea that it was already destroyed.
