I agree with you 100%- the only thing I think you failed to mention (but I know you know) is that if the pattern moves against you and should unexpectedly move to the upside from the triangle, get out immediately with a stop and buy the pullback to the dt line if it comes and a person feels so inclined- never forgetting the all so common false breakouts that are everpresent in this type of market environment--we all must remember that this is far from a trending market at this time unless sideways is considered a trend to anyone- the markets have been rangebound since January and have only visited the outer ranges a few times, making them even tighter than they appear, hence reversal sticks are more important during the small rallies and pullbacks than they would be in a strong up or downtrend such as the ones we saw during the end of the last decade- a reversal stick can get you in for a short term move that's about to happen and can prove quite profitable if a person is willing to take quick profits-If you check some patterns that have been posted recently or that I have played myself you can see they have stopped exactly at their respective resistance lines and made quick turns or pullbacks- check the lines on AVP, IMCL, MANH and SBUX (only lasted a day in this one) and you can see how true they stayed to their pattern lines and how quick a trader had to be to make nice profits :-)

RTS, thanks for your post on broad com. I also believe in trading the weaklins of a sector. I have posted comparisions of most of the sox index on my site comparing semi stock compared to smh. There is about 30 or 40 stock comparisions that are posted there that are updating each day to help pick stongys and weakys. I pick groups from large medium and small cap sectors in both equipment and semi manufacturing sectors. These comparisions start on page four.
