But the Arabs were and what matters is how they view Chriatian invaders. We invaded their country for no justifiable reason. Bush lied about yellowcake from Niger, aluminum tubes to be used for uranium enrichment centrifuges, biological weapons labs that were completely destroyed in 1991, etc etc... They have every right to hate us and they have a long history of being murdered by self-righteous Christian Crusaders, e.g. George Warmonger Bush.

Many vilify the crusades without examining the both sides of the issue. It shouldn't be forgotten that the Moors invaded Europe priot to the crusades. Islam was a new religion conquering vast areas by force. There are two sides to that story. Political correctness condemns many to vilifying themselves rather than looking at the issue from an fair perspective.

French and English colonialism in later years had much more to do with any lingering resentments than did the ancient crusades.
