Anecdotal info: I noticed a couple of farm properties I pass on I-5 had Bush Cheney signs adjacent to the freeway. Yesterday, one of those farmers had taken down his sign. hehehehehe. I read that "Experts (are) confounded by voters on fence this late in campaign". I think they know, they're just not telling pollsters. After all, most concede that Kerry won the debates. sfgate.com

Either Bush is too dumb to understand a statement by Kerry that requires a little logical thinking.. or he was playing to a large group of his supporters who are prone to thinking in easy slogans, rather than engaging their brains. Reminds me of a neighbor awhile back who said she "just didn't want to know about all the stuff going on in the world" and would rather that Bush just take care of it.
There are an awful lot of those folks around. They comprise a big chunk of a huge American labor pool. The more uneducated people there are in the USA, the better the Cheap Labor Conservatives like it:
