The brits are pretty good too. What I don't understand is how Blair got caught up in this. The only conclusion I can come to is that he was lied to big time, aided by the times and people like Powell willing to stand up and speak for the administration.

Powell will never get a chance to be President now, but I will read his tell-all book when it comes out in 10 or 15 years.

Since Blair put his entire life's work on the line - his political career at the forefront - he has no choice but to follow through with the charade to the bitter end.

I wish I could come up with a better explanation but that is the only one that makes sense.

There may be a bit of anti-european union tension going on in there too.
