Bush Addresses Kerry's Remark that Terrorists are a Nuisance 11-Oct-2004 6:10AM United Press International

WASHINGTON, Oct. 11 (UPI) -- President George Bush's campaign will focus on challenger Sen. John Kerry's remark that terrorists are a nuisance, CNN reported Monday.

Bush campaign Chairman Marc Racicot in an appearance on CNN's "Late Edition," referred to a quote from a lengthy New York Times Magazine article where Kerry said he hoped the country could "get back to the place we were, where terrorists are not the focus of our lives, but they're a nuisance."

Racicot said Kerry's view of terror was an outdated, pre-Sept 11 mindset and the campaign would use it as evidence.

"(Kerry) equated it to prostitution and gambling, a nuisance activity," Racicot said. "You know, quite frankly, I just don't think he has the right view of the world. It's a dangerous Sept 10 view of the world."
