Bush has failed to provide the leadership that we Americans expect from our President. Ronald Reagan was known for his phrase "Trust but verify." Ceratinly Bush did trust his intelligence chief when he was presented with the intelligence. Certainly, he did trust his Generals when they presented him with the Iraq war plans and resource needs. But it is upto the President to initiate verifications of what is said in the report. Bush certainly has not demonstrated any ability to do so. TO question his experta in a intelligent way and not as an expert. He just cannot think on his feet.
