Chris, I've often wondered about that too. What is the real reason why Bush attacked Iraq? Does anyone know? I certainly don't. Was it because of oil? Is it because Bush wanted a foothold into the middle east to start influencing Saudia Arabia's policy where the terrorists originated from? The later reason would resonate better, but not the first one.

But Bush's flip-flopping on the reason is very disturbing. It creates a huge trust issue. You just don't know when you can trust what Bush says.

Regards,
Amy J

I think the electorate is beginning to see it, Chris .....

.......... It just wanted to see Kerry and Bush on the same stage together. A lot of people were dissatisfied with Bush and didn't want to vote for him. Unfortunately, many were not "familiar" with Kerry.

The contrast between Kerry and Bush at the first debate was unreal. Bush looked like a cross between Howdy Doody and Alfred E. Newman, whereas Kerry look assured and presidential.

Then, at the second debate, Bush looked like Yosemite Sam. But he forgot to bring his six-shooter. Kerry continued to looked assured and presidential.

Bush simply can't erase the devastation of the first debate. Events in Iraq keep him mired in mud.
