I watched the debate on Friday. For the second time Kerry agreed with the use of force (regardless of WMD's being present) but felt we should have sought the approval of our allies and the UN. While I don't disagree with that as policy, Kerry must have been MIA not to have noticed that we did just that. Maybe John would have realized we tried all these things had he not been absent for over 70% of the intelligence briefings. His belief that we should use the UN and our allies makes for a good sound bite but its a disingenuous argument at best. The UN, France, Germany and Russia were not going to join us no matter what! Why you ask?? Because they were all profiting from selling banned products to Iraq and the Oil for food program. The Kerry supporters want everyone to forget this as they nod their heads when he speaks of coalition building and using the UN. But the fact remains that some of our allies and the UN were working against our best interests and the agreed upon sanctions for their own profit! That's unacceptable and its the reason I believe we should remove ourselves from the UN. I also believe that some of these nations should be booted from NATO for their actions. I see no benefit to subsidizing the military of countries that would openly defy sanctions while they enjoy military protection from the Untied States. These are issues Kerry wont discuss as he questions George Bush because he knows he'll come out the loser. He cannot possibly win his coalition argument if the people of the United States are reminded that the "UN" and some of our "Allies" worked against us to protect and hide their dirty deals.

Can anyone tell me why the National Organization of Women endorsed Kerry as they did Clinton when both of them gagged their wives from speaking? Maybe not all parts of the Taliban were as screwed up as we thought.
