I fully understood Keith Feral's point. I don't agree with it at all. That's the marvellous thing about points of view...

And I've no idea if you are wrong all the time or not Bruce. But from what I've read of you lately, I'd say you are more wrong than not these days.

I am not trying to pick a fight with you - but you do not seem able or willing to look at the facts with an open mind. It seems clear that you've invested yourself in supporting the war and Bush at all costs. You have no personal exit strategy for this position.

You seem to forget, I supported going into Iraq based on what was being told us at the time. I was mistrustful of the information, but in the absence of direct evidence, I decided to put some faith in what Powell was willing to sign up to.

In the light of all that has transpired and my working conclusion - the administration out and out lied to the people - do I feel foolish? No, not really. Am I angry? Yes, of course I am a little angry when the trust of the people is so cavalierly trampled on. But mostly I am unsurprised.

As I told my wife when the decision was being made to go into Iraq, if the administration was later shown to be misrepresenting the facts or outright lieing, the people would make those responsible pay.

I am a huge fan of democracy and everything that it stands for. The democratic process *must* be based on a foundation of truth.

This presidency is a massive failure in that regard.
