We've probably all known a pathological liar or two. I always try to give a person the benefit of the doubt, and believe them when they tell me something. But when you've been lied to twice, three times or more, you begin to change. You begin to doubt what that person says, be leery of acting as if it were true, or passing the info along. Further into the uncovering of the pathological liar, you just start thinking EVERYTHING that person tells you is a lie.
That's where a lot of Americans are with the Bush administration, who have elevated pathological lying to government policy.
