C2, Long term you are correct. However, short term everyone needs to do tax planning. Using muni's to shield income from Federal tax is what Kerry's wife does and is likely to be a winning tax avoidance strategy. If he were to win, overall health of the economy and long term growth prospects will not help pharmaceutical & other healthcare stocks which will likely dive short term (at least until the policy dust settles). It may create an interesting buy opportunity with new lows for those stocks. John
