Darbes,

I am never comfortable about how to read these data

The way I read it is by looking at quantities ordered, and on that score, I think this week is relatively poor, with exception of 11,000 Socket 754 A64 3000.

The sales of Socket A Sempron seem poor. I wonder if AMD shot itslef in the foot by prematurely announcing this brand. I would have introduced it as low end K8 only brand, and I would let Athlon XP run its course (which will not be very long anyway).

Also, what can be read from this is that the distributors have no 90nm parts, and that they don't yet have AFX-55 or A64 4000.

Another thing, Intel is introducing another Emergency Edition, benchmark special P4 3.46 EE to counter AFX-55.
