I've felt from the beginning that Saddam's plan was to lose the war quickly and with as little damage to personnel and weaponry as possible. Then launch the geurilla campaign which has been in effect for the past year plus.
If one read the history of US reacting to anti-war sentiment in Viet Nam, then it is only logical to conclude that such tactics in Iraq were the best hope of the Iraqi regime to oust the Americans after their military victory. larry

It wasn't until I got to the bottom and checked the site that I knew pretty much which size grain of salt was prescribed for that "article".

The Boston Globe, not exactly a reliable source of reporting.
