The monthly output levels bounce around... but have consistently averaged lower then the pre-war output. (And, the last few months have averaged lower output then we had achieved in the spring.) 'Official' estimates put out by the coallition authority now predict that output will not exceed pre-war levels until the end of '05... (and that prediction pre-supposes that the security situation improves). As long as the pipelines keep being bombed on a regular basis --- and foreign workers are at great risk in the oil fields --- Iraq is unlikely to exceed pre-war levels of output....
