Yes,

Flu vaccines are now limited to the aged and those with potentially life threatening diseases. G'bless the plaintiff's bar, the John Edwards of this land, for protecting us from the pharmaceutical and medical community. We should have 10 or 20 providers of every kind of vaccine; something every businessman who has to source suppplies and sell to customers knows: there is strength in numbers.

Even if these guys were truly publicly oriented (rather than financially oriented), there is the law of unintended consequences. The unintended consequences are doctors leaving the field in droves, shortages of medical care in towns and smaller entities, limited production (and r&d) in various "high risk" fields.

Ah, vot a country.
