As I suspected, neither "liberal" nor "leftist" is an attractive label. Respondus ipsa loquitur. (I was only replying to Ep's question, btw, you could look it up.) As for "By the way, did you know that the amount spent on attorney's fees in tort cases for the DEFENSE attorneys was, the last time I checked, as great as that paid to the plaintiff's attorneys." How does one check this? These are not generally speaking, disclosed amounts. Many are under seal. Besides, it would not necessarily surprise me, given the vast number of bogus suits, strike suits, ridiculous suits that the plaintiff's bar foists on every single corporation of size that their (defense) legal fees are astronomical. I've seen that part of it from the inside. It's nasty. Kb
