You've got Big Pharma exactly right! I think ALL government research money should be devoted entirely to cures, since Big Pharma isn't even looking for them. Wouldn't be profitable in the long term. Nothing makes steady, reliable money like a chronic disease that has to be treated with medications for life! I believe this is part (along with the religious wackos) of the Bush admin's opposition to full support of stem cell research. It promises CURES.
