what's safer than a bank? Banks can go bust, they lock the doors and your gold is on the other side of that door. Consider this (just an idea). How about buying a safe, digging a hole in your basement putting in (say) 50% of your PM investment in it and then concreting it back up? That what I'm thinking. Most of my basement is still dirt anyway. A buried safe is as good as any bank, I think, unless I tell somebody where it is... opps glad I'm just thinking about this idea at the moment -g-
