Iraq should more accurately be compared with Guadalcanal... we are going to take losses in the beginning, this is where we establish a beachhead at the beginning of a major world war against terrorism, this is not an isolated conflict in one small corner of the world... GZ

So why did George Tenet, then head of the CIA say it was A SLAM DUNK to prove Saddam had the weapons? In any event, thats all water over the dam now, When this conflict is under control and Iraq security forces take the brunt of keeping order we will have a strong ally right in the heart of the problems, I bet Syria falls just as Libya did, can Iran be far behind? Knowing all we know TODAY which of course is Monday morning quarterbacking, I still support the decision. jdn
