I would laugh out loud but it somehow feels like you are saying this with a straight face and it's not polite to laugh at people's beliefs, no matter how ridiculous.

why would you want to aim disrespect toward the source of Washington's armor? More so, why do that when we are at war?

The way I see things, pointing out the improbability of a hero legend being literally and factually correct is not "disrespect", and this has absolutely nothing to do with whether or not his descendants feel themselves "at war" at present.

Not that I expect a guy who opposes "pulling God out of educational system" to understand, less appreciate, the rational basis of that thought :-)

Yeah, Gersh, that's why we lost the first Gulf War. Gee without God in the schools, it was a total disaster.
