Why should the Gitmo detainess be imprisoned without any prisoner or civil rights for more than a year after their capture? I'm not sure it is an accurate characterization to say, "without prisoner or civil rights". I think these people have both. But they aren't entitled to be treated in the same way as an American accused of a crime is. As to whether they should be there, I just don't know. But I really don't care. In my view there is at least a 50% chance most of them should be there, so that's good enough for me. These are difficult times.
