If you think about it for more than a minute, I think you will see it IS the salient factor in military enlistment. Why would anyone follow a leader they had no confidence in...? Kerry has done nothing to give an impression he believes in the military. 30+ years of nothing....

However, IF we have another attack of large scale (i.e. if a city is wiped out) I think you will see more and more of us enlisting, either as a Military force, or a Civilian force or both.
