You have described why Bush is a failure in fighting terrorism. You wrote: "Bush saw the larger threat of terrorism." And that is his first strategic mistake; Bush has never clearly defined the war on "terror". I strongly recommend reading "Bounding the War on Terrorism" by Dr. Jeffrey Record, Strategic Studies Institute, US Army War College. carlisle.army.mil

Then you wrote: "Bush saw the threat in Iraq". Of course now we know NO threat existed in Iraq. So Bush saw a threat were none existed and Bush made another blunder.

Bush is even worse for the economy, the environment, energy policy, health care, jobs, etc. But you did a good job of illustrating how he blundered against the terrorists.

<Bush saw the threat in Iraq>

When no one else did! And he hyped it to the MAX! When he first started with that Iraq crap, I did a mental double-take. Whaaa? And it turns out I and many others on this thread were RIGHT when Bush was WRONG. Simple common sense would tell you that Iraq was NO THREAT. It's why the only REAL ally Bush could enlist was the constant-toady Tony Blair. Everyone else in the world watched in amazement as the Bush admin. conned the American public, callously USING their anger over 9/11 to invade Iraq. Bush is a criminal, and a worhtless punk.

Bush let 9-11 happen on his watch despite frequent warnings.
