Think if Clinton had been President instead of Bush. He'd have strongly supported stem-cell research, and other countries scientists and technicians would be trying to move HERE, instead of elsewhere. We might have a stem-cell boom going here, with the VC's playing heavily thanks to the government support.
Clinton would have seen the outsourcing problem before it became a crisis, and done SOMETHING to encourage keeping those good jobs here without being protectionist.
It's really a shame that when you get a really good one, he's limited to two terms.
