They both smell and look wonderful- I can totally understand how one might mix them up.

I have filled our backyard in California with lavender- mostly because it is drought adapted, and almost impossible to kill- I like Euryops daiseys for the same reason, and society garlic, and butterfly iris- along with many other robust plants. Can't see the point in planting water loving plants in dry country. To do so is the height of stupid- imo.
