Your new found agreement with my comment,

is quite a flip flop and all in the space of a mere two posts.

Since we agreed above, and since right and wrong are determined by morality, and since we agreed our morality is based in religious tenets... the addition of the following comment makes no sense to me.

But we make things illegal because they are wrong for our country, not because they are the doctrine of some religious establishment.

We already have laws for the separation of church and state. They ain't perfect and will never be, because our morality and our religions are joined at the hip, and our governments write laws based on our morality.
The American system ain't perfect. It just happens to be a little better than the next best system on planet earth.
