We neednt have insulted the russians by including odious verification proceedures when their interest regarding these weapons systems are in line with ours. Why would they have fooled us? Mike

They're building a nuclear system that the BMD won't protect against. It seems they don't trust the US.

i am making the assumption that you are right about the no verify thing in the first place. Is it no verify or veryify too lite for your taste or just another way for you to make an anti-bush statement?

There is absolutely no verfication requirement in the treaty. The best "defense" that I could make for it... Is that if you've got half a brain, you can build any number of weapons you want and never techincally violate the terms of the agreement. If you can't violate the agreement, what's to verify? The entire agreement is a complete joke as an arms treaty.
