I'm afraid North is too much of a firebrand to ever get the nomination. But I sure would have liked to see him elected to the Senate. That old boy's club needs a good shaking up.

It would be benefited immensely by having Robert Byrd decide to retire. I hope he doesn't have ambitions of reaching 100 like Thurmond.

G T -- don't rule out Rudy G. He has a strong following but I'd like to see any of the 3 paired. If things get ugly on the war front your picks would clear the smell of a coward from the WH quick.
