Sarkozy has been making such doom & gloom announcements ever since he made it clear he is quitting his position as Finane Minister next month to challenge Chirac for Presidency in the next Presidential election. What I am trying to say is, I wouldn't place too much importance on his declaration on oil, for it is aimed at creating publicity for himself and making the current band of leaders look bad.
