Brian, if the UN was an effective organization we would all support it. However, as demonstrated in the Iraqi Food for Oil scandal, many members try to use the organization for dishonest purposes. Best example is the fact that Ghdaffi was once considered the head of the UN's Human Rights committee. What's wrong with that picture? It's proof positive that something went terribly awry at the UN. It needs major reformation before the US could ever follow it's lead in any way.

Brian, of what value is the UN? Resolutions are like telling children at college they should not taste beer while fotting the bar bill. Sorry to disagree but I found no use for the UN in decades except as a hole to throw tax dollars into.
