Elroy, You have to ask yourself when evaluating Bush whether or not he has executed well in Iraq given that removing Saddam was never really in doubt. I think he has done quite poorly.

Hard to say, because I haven't reconciled the question of whether proper planning would have helped, or whether the problem of winning the peace went well beyond that.

Either way, I will say that the Bush administration vastly underestimated the cost of rebuilding. Six months ago I said that there was enough time for Bush to fix things in Iraq before November. Well, November is coming up, and things aren't significantly better in Iraq, despite some of the progress our military may have made in certain instances.

I think he has done quite poorly.

Why is that? Is it because he has surrounded himself with ideologues who are equally apt to play with the lives of american soldiers to prove some new military "science" while taking no advice, even from experts here at home, let alone France or Germany or any UN entity? This has been the most arrogant administration in memory. Not just bush, but equally or more so the people with which he has surrounded himself.

Those who haven't gotten into oil and gas stocks; today's a buying opp. I am really loving EGY....its a 'liberal' NG stock. <g> I plan to buy more tomorrow.

For tech lovers, check out KONG.........another Chinese stock that got hit on some semi negative news. Its recovered over the past two weeks but is pulling back here. I plan to buy more on this pull back. I think this one is going the way of SINA and SOHU.
