Ted, let me put it this way. The brave firefighters and police officers of 9/11 went into burning buildings without waiting for the "rich" to join them. Not only that, but the brave soldiers that volunteered for combat in Iraq did so without waiting for the "rich" to join them.

Oh my God, you've brought out the string section of the orchestra..............there are more violins playing here than NYC has cars.

Please! Saving fellow Americans from disaster is one thing. Fighting a war in a foreign land because your president got a bug up his butt is quite another.

[And Elroy I don't give a flying screw how bad Saddam was!]

Saying you won't fight until "rich princesses" like Paris Hilton and the Bush twins join you is one of the stupidest excuses I've ever heard.

Huh? Worse than yours? The elitist approach where you pay for people to fight your battles..........to fight for your freedom? Our FF are turning over in their graves.

Why aren't you willing to take up arms before Paris and Barbara ever have to? Just because you think the struggle between rich vs. poor trumps any other concern?

No, because I want the rich to share in the downside to living in America, and not just the upside.

BTW I can't believe we're having this discussion. The very idea that the rich should not participate in a war..........that they are some how superior to the rest of us is parochial and disgusting. I am really surprised you hold such beliefs.

It's nothing but pure jealously on your part.

Right! I've always wanted to be Paris Hilton so I can stage breakins into my house, and give myself black and blue marks so it looks like my boyfriend roughed me up. And while we're talking fantasy here, I've always wanted to be B. Bush so I could stick my tongue out at the paparazzi. They are the only people I can think of who's IQ is less than jr's.

By the way, if you still think it's wrong that the poor fight the rich man's wars, then why were you in support of Afghanistan? How about Kosovo?

Because I thought we were going after OBL, the person behind 9/11....catch him and then be done with it. It has been the only legitimate response to 9/11 so far and it seems jr. lost interest midway through the operation.

Or any other war that, say, Clinton started? He seemed to be fine with the notion of sending other kids into harms way, even as his daughter Chelsea was enjoying a private school education.

I didn't agree with Clinton sending Chelsea to private school. I thought it was a major copout. It was one of the few negatives I have about the Clinton years.
