Your first duty is to yourself and your family. Thank you. That's interesting. I would have thought that me-first and patriotism were largely at odds. My sense of patriotism has a big dollop of altruism. For example, I've always thought that jumping into one's car after an attack and contributing to the gridlock leaving military and emergency services high and dry was unpatriotic. Yet I've seen that espoused here by presumably patriotic people. This discrepancy has surfaced often enough now that I may have to reevaluate my sense of duty.
