I'm one of those nuts who has Howard on all the time. Trading is easy while you laugh LOL.

I don't think he's re-negotiating. The cat's out of the bag so to speak.

I think he was told to shut up or lose this last year. He makes a fortune now and probably doesn't want to get involved in litigation with VIACOM. He also probably prefers the last year's pay from Viacom.

If they bought him out, they could probably keep him off the air for a year.

There have been some interesting main stream articles about Viacom taking a piece of SIRI. He even hinted at this and also some sort of deal to show an uncensored TV version of his radio show on a VIACOM premium channel.

There will be many surprises but his backing out is not one. He's notoriously loyal and once he gives his word, he sticks with it.

Either yesterday or Monday Howard mentioned that he had had a meeting with Infinity management and that he had agreed that it was inappropriate for him to be promoting the switch on his show.

What happened was that his current employer said they aren't going to foot the bill for a 15 month free advertisement for his move to Sirius; they said they were reviewing the tapes and planned to charge him for his references to SIRI.
