You are forgetting the basic truth with some folks.. To quote an indian saying, "pahle paisa phir bhaghvan'" translated it means "Money first and then God" ..

Why are people so willing to forget that Cheney one day (before becoming the Vice Presidential running mate to Bush) is lobbying the US Government on behalf of Haliburton for the right to sell restricted items to Iran (a sworn enemy to the US) -- and then flip flops after becoming VP (since he has no choice)?

Cheney's excuse is that he didn't know.

Let's forget that for a moment. He didn't know, I don't understand how he didn't know as the CEO, but he didn't know. He says his position on Iran was that unilateral [or a small number of countries] sanctions don't/doesn't make sense. I agree with that. What's the point when the rest of the world is trading with the "sanctioned" country?

Now let's go to Cuba. What's Cheney's position on sanctons on Cuba? I know what my position is, it doesn't make sense; it hasn't made sense for decades.
