short term observations:
1. today's huge trading volume in the December contract has probably removed some of the weaker hands and will help to improve the somewhat stretched fund net long position.
and 2. money flows into pm stocks have been positive for the third day in a row, more so today than on the preceding trading days. this suggests that the correction is either over, or close to being over - note also, that technically, it could be viewed as a retest of the recent break-out from the XAU's trading range.
of course, positive money flows are not per se a timing tool - they only tell us that the prices at which they have occurred will eventually be bested with a high probability.
also positive, overbought conditions have been relieved in many stocks, so the market has a chance to retest the recent highs soon imo.
and even though the spec net long probably remains somewhat stretched, one needs to keep in mind that the same thing was true at PoG 370, shortly before a $60 run to the upside.

a British analyst just touted BGO on CNBC Europe:

"Bema has discovered the biggest ever epithermal gold deposit in Russia...the market hasn't really factored this in yet, but will slowly come to realize what a significant find this is"

as i keep saying - it's the find of the century.
