Today it was announced that the ratio of federal public debt to GNP in Canada is now 0.41. That's the lowest it has been for many years. The per capita debt is thus less. I'm afraid personal (credit card) debt is higher. You (the advertisers and the lenders) can fool some of the people all of the time.
We need a shackled capitalism. They shouldn't be allowed to steal money from idiots. It's not an idiot's fault that today means so much more than tomorrow.

That is not different then why Japan grew rich and why China will.

The Aussies -like the japanese before and the Chinese now- don't have to pay for the burden of projecting military power. Keeping the military power projection as the US still do, it will keep making US citizens poorer vis a vis other countries.
