Hussein Kamel, Saddam's son-in-law was the person in charge of destroying the weapons. He describes it in a series of reports. Saddam had him killed for talking to the Americans. middleeastreference.org.uk Note that Cheney used excerpts from this report to justify the invasion of Iraq, but kept the part of the destruction of the weapons hidden, until the report was pried out of his fingers by a freedom of information suit.
