I think the Republican stance regarding Gay marriage makes the sexual orientation of Mr. Cheney's daughter a legitimate topic of conversation.

If this were 1964 and a vice presidential candidate had a black daughter, I think her circumstance would have been acceptable for discussion, especially if her father was in an administration that wanted to constutionalize her lack of voting rights.

This was a great debate. Notice, no stuttering on Bush's part. He was in control all evening.

Kerry definitely weaker in this debate----. Lots of accusations about statistics that cannot be proved in a debate and subject to change -----people don't care about those statistics-----the statistics that matter are how is my family doing.

Differences starting to appear more pronounced. Kerry wants the federal government to control more while bypassing the states.

Kerry is appealing to the lowest instincts of people saying what is wrong with us, we are divided-----and I am going to heal this division.

Bush was for letting the people decide on constitutional amendments. Rather than usurping the rights of the people via the courts or congress.

As Guilani of New York noted----Bush's sincerity came out when he talked about his personal basis for governing-----and his family.

Seems like Guilani may be working to deliver New York to Bush.
