agustus-

please don't think i'm being flippant because
i'm not. i am also not very articulate but
please bear with me.

simply put, to my way of thinking, there are
two ways to go about living life - as an individual
and as a country.

one is by helping and one is by killing.

monies spent on military endeavours would go a
very long way spent on drug research and
medicines. two billion dollars is it? imagine.

a country can aspire to become an empire, or
not. the bush administration imo chose the former
and the world will be suffering the consequences of
that choice for a very long long time. memories of
those who have suffered and lost their loves ones
as a result of the iraqi invasion will not disappear
quickly. they'll want revenge.

it didn't have to happen.

i guess i'm getting off topic. but when you think
of where the world would be if we had gone down the
other path ....

i'm going to have to ponder on your post, i think,
to try and understand where you're coming from.
