Who would volunteer for a life in the military besides the poor or righwing?

How about folks who love their country and want to serve and defend it? Are you saying that all such people are either "the poor or rightwing"? Nice slur.

You obviously haven't known many military people. Your loss.

>>Who would volunteer for a life in the military besides the poor or righwing? rightwingers believing in black and white. Kerry respects thos guys but we dont need that mentality in the White House.<<

What a contemptible thing to say about our military personnel. I don't know how old you were during the Vietnam War but all of a sudden it is easy for me to visualize you spitting on the returning vets.

Shameless pandering:
John Edwards’ phony, tasteless promise

JOHN EDWARDS will say anything to get elected, and on Monday he proved it.

During a campaign stop in Iowa, he said, “If we do the work that we can do in this country, the work that we will do when John Kerry is President, people like Christopher Reeve will get up out of that wheelchair and walk again.”

Mark it twice that the Kerry campaign has invoked the name of a recently deceased beloved American to promote itself by distorting and exaggerating the promise of embryonic stem cell research. First it was Ronald Reagan, now Christopher Reeve.

The Kerry campaign has deliberately mislabeled Bush’s policy on embryonic stem cell research a “ban” and now has promised that John Kerry will heal the lame. It is about what one could have expected from two dishonest lawyers accustomed to snowing the rabble with their fancy talk.

If you had not read about Edwards’ comment, it is no wonder. The Associated Press, continuing its favorable coverage of Kerry/Edwards, did not report it, thus depriving thousands of newspapers (including this one) of timely coverage.
