Regardless of the validity of arguments thrown about on this thread...it does not justify the promotion of hatred against or from either country. Arguments are about ideas...not about generalised prejudice and apparent hate.

I have travelled throughout the States for many years, and they are as fine as any people in the world. As do Canadians--Americans come from all countries to freely share and enjoy their culture in a common framework of human rights and freedoms. So when I come across remarks such as the following, I dispute the implications and I question the motives:

"Canadian pharmacists aren't out to kill you bastards down there"

It is critical for people from both countries to truly comprehend what they share and how peripheral are any differences. Indeed, the border should be around our countries and not between them.
