The topic of raising the minimum wage is an interesting one. Every time it is brought up, there are all these things that are supposed to happen, both good and bad. The reasoning behind the projections often seem sound. However, when the minimum wage is actually raised, the beneficial effects are muted, but still exist, and the negative effects never seem to happen. My guess is that the macroeconomic models aren't very good, but...

Question: how much of today's unemployment over the "ideal level" (considered 4%) is due to the minimum wage being higher than $3/hr?
