I think it is a choice. In some instances. I think some may be pre-disposed, but I also believe some choose.

more stupidity from Kenneth E. Phillipps. To engage in self gratification for the sake of an orgasm with members of the same sex is a choice. Having a desire or inclination may or may not be a choice. The choice to engage in self gratification for the sake of an orgasm with members is also a choice that likely reinforces the desires and leads to a lifestyle of extinction. Those who are afflicted with the weakness of character or chemical imbalance that leads to a lifestyle choice of death are not the same as normal healthy humans. It is also perfectly reasonable to assume that some members of the human race are wired to go either way. The curse of being led into a life of extinction is real and all good men should work to prevent such a calamity from overcoming any person.

Pedophiles would argue that they have no choice. Pedophilia is also a "sexual orientation." So is rape in many cases of men who only enjoy sex in that manner. Then we have bestiality, also a "sexual orientation." A person's yens and urges are not the point. Behavior is the point. Right now syphillis and gonnorhea are making huge comebacks after being considered extinct. The National Center for Disease Control acknowledges that the resurgence is virtually exclusively the result of gay-male unprotected sex. The same is true with the AIDS epidemic. If there is discrimination against gays, it is not about what they prefer, it's about what they DO to each other.
