Initial claims 352,000.

In the week ending Oct. 9, the advance figure for seasonally adjusted initial claims was 352,000, an increase of 15,000 from the previous week's revised figure of 337,000. The 4-week moving average was 353,000, an increase of 4,000 from the previous week's revised average of 349,000.

I find it amazing how little reaction in the FX and stock markets is to this number as if $54 billion is nothing - just in stride issue.

Imports from EZ is 20% higher YoY --- why every one only focuses on China is beyond me - there is a clear advantage in price but Japan and EZ have similar cost structure as the US and the trade deficit with those countries is higher by 20% YOY
